About

Academic depth with delivery discipline.

Dr Samuel Awoniyi is an Associate Professor of Agricultural Economics at Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Nigeria. His academic work spans agricultural economics, digital agriculture, climate-smart systems, evidence synthesis, quantitative research, teaching and postgraduate supervision.

Research philosophy

Good research should be methodologically defensible, contextually intelligent and useful to decision-makers. The operating principle is to verify evidence, make judgement visible and preserve an auditable path from source to conclusion.

Teaching philosophy

I see teaching as the disciplined transformation of knowledge into understanding, judgment and independent inquiry. My aim is not simply to transmit concepts, but to help students ask better questions, interrogate evidence, connect economic theory with real agricultural and development challenges, and communicate conclusions responsibly. I emphasize analytical reasoning, applied problem-solving, methodological rigor and progressive research independence.
