Digital Agriculture and the Matthew Effect

A Nigeria-focused research programme examining how access to digital agricultural services relates to productivity opportunities and whether benefits differ across pre-existing inequalities.

Research question

Digital technologies may lower information and transaction costs, but their gains need not be distributed evenly. The project investigates whether differences in land, assets, education and market access condition who benefits from digital agriculture.

Analytical orientation

The work is designed around panel-data analysis and distributional heterogeneity. Findings will be added when the analysis is complete and a public research output is available.
